Autonom is an excellent company who strives to provide the best service. We rented a van from them which was in excellent shape. Unfortunately the vehicle was hit twice while parked. Their team we able to find one of the incidents through security cameras. They provided all the necessary documents quickly for me to claim the other incident through my insurance. I would highly recommend renting from them.
I was in Brasov for vacation and needed to rent a car to move around. The autonom team was super responsive (the booking was very last minute) and helpful. The rate was competitive with all the other options I had in hand and the staff was super nice, explaining the car features, the insurance options I had (in order to avoid leaving a deposit) and everything! Reliable, quick car availability within short notice, unlimited km in Romania, new Renault Clio car from 2022 that took us over Transfagarasan, Transalpina, all around Transilvania with a low consumption (was a diesel). Maybe more expensive than other small companies, but we knew from previous reviews that customers were 100% satisfied so we did not want to risk any problems. We will return to Autonom next trip too!
Our driver Andrei was a star. Prompt pick up from airport followed by 5 days of hiking the amazing hills and forests of Transylvania. Andrei would drive the van to each village with our bags so we could collapse in a heap after walking all day. Andrei was personable, attentive to our every need and not to mention extremely reliable. An all round great guy and experience and I would recommend to anyone!
